About the lab
Affective Design Lab is based at the Graduate School of Techno Design, Kookmin University. We study the relationship between design, emotion, and user experience.
Our research covers interface design, user experience in virtual environments, and the visualization of pain and music.
We use surveys, behavioral data, and EEG to analyze how design affects users’ emotional responses.
Established in 2021, the lab has produced 16 journal articles, 2 international conference papers, and 5 patents. To date it has worked across 6 research areas and 8 industry collaboration projects, one of which is currently under way.

Graduate students and internships
